i think you'll like both....

this first song has amazing vocals, i am not so impressed by the accompanying musical orchestration.




and this second one is just one of my absolute favorites....from illayaraja..shreya goshal is simply superb!

Yes we are ok. We were on the road when the earthquake struck. It was a 6.8 scale epicentre Nepal. The kids felt it and it was bad. Though not 6.8 in kolkata but everything was shaking and ganpath ram freaked out (as did the kids).

first off, i like the ilayaraja one. i got it bookmarked (for downloading tomorrow).

the first one is not impressive. i don't think the vocals are that impressive. but then i'm also a philistine. and the commentary in the youtube video undermines rahman's contribution greatly. i think the orchestration was great. perhaps it was the only thing that supported the rather ordinary vocal performance (lest it fall flat). but thanks for posting. how about you post the oman kuzhambu recipe now?

i hum the illayaraja song all the time:-) anyway, omam kuzhambu, i just need to take the time to type it out. it is a bit more involving but i promise i will get it to you by the end of the week.
