indeed, in the light of his being given a safe haven in the midst of the second world war, in a land that's far from the persecution he would have experienced, a stateless jewish man's fulsome praise of america should be heavily discounted.

he could have stayed back in belgium. not a bad place to be in. or even turkey. he wanted UK but he chose USA -- it does not mean he was "stateless" or  had no choices.

ThOmas Iyer left India for the green pastures of Oil and milk and honey lands. He being a Superior Christian Brahmin his vitriol and diatribe against India and hindus should be heavily discounted.
