Amitbhai's arrogance, RSS stupidity (or sabotage) and neanderthal cow politics cost the BJP what could have been an easy win. It's a richly deserved comeuppance and now, with his political capital all gone, we will have a lame duck PM who is only good for dazzling gullible NRI patriots.

i would have to disagree with your analysis. in my opinion it was always an uphill task for the bjp ever since Lalu, Nitish, and Congress united. The combined vote bank of these parties was always more than the combined vote bank of the BJP and its allies. The only hope the BJP had of winning was through communal polarization in which hindus would have cut across caste lines to vote for the bjp and its allies. All attempts were made by the bjp to fan communal flames, but the biharis did not succumb to these attempts and continued to vote along caste lines. this explains why 25% of the newly elected legislators in the bihar assembly are yadavas:
