Muslims here call the place Kattumannargudi, avoiding the ‘koil’ (temple) in the official name.



They do not mind settling there, but have an issue with the name. 


The  leadership and Mullahs are Political Islamists, who do not understand secularism

kOvil == kOil == Gudi (in Kannada).

So the JIMP is actually calling the city STILL by its original name but in Kannada.

Stupid JIMP.

Haha...so why are you limpwristed lot getting into a frenzy over it then??

PS: Typical of a cretin to ignore entirely the issues of poverty, unemployment, lack of opportunity, absence of any road or irrigation infrastructure and resultant agrarian stress highlighted in the story, while obsessing about what Muslims call some unheard-of town in TN's boondocks.
