this useless player is not good enough even for the ranaji games. hahaha. next mohd kaif, fo sho.

I feel bad for Pujara. The guy was all set to take off after the SA tour, and looks like the injury did him in. Now he is not even in the selectors radar.

Same with Manish Pandey and Manoj Tiwary. These guys will end up as "could have been greats"

yeah, Pujara seems to be unlucky. very unlucky. remember, in his first test against AUS, he was padded up for 7 hours (after SRT and M Vijay scored 300+ between them in B'lore) and when he came out to bat (after Vijay got out), he had to face an unplayable delivery. he got out cheaply (although he made up for it in the IInd innings).

and now he is out with the injury. it appears that he will take months to get back his form and fitness and one hopes that it's not too late for that (what with Kohli, Rahane, Sharma impressing the selectors).

drum roll !!!!! murali vijay equals bradman (i mean, bradman's score in his last test innings) against gujarat. but he will be back in APRL to score 40s and 50s and 100s against pune, rajsthan, bangalore and kolkata on chepauk, chepauk, chepauk and chepauk.

I am not sure the selectors are ignoring Mukund. The guy is very young and has already amassed runs and on par with Rahane and anybody else. He did avg but that was an overseas tour. To sideline him so early in his career is not good. Selectors seem to have chosen him to be the next Badri and Badani. If they could tag along Rohit for tour after tour after tour, why not Mukund (or even Badri?).

rohit did not get any chances that he misused. He was injured in both cases he got a chance. His recent performance in Ranji and ODI is excellent. So your cribbing about rohit over mukund is nothing but regional chauvinism.

Mukund is left behind because he is an opener and opening slots are full (Viru, Gambhir and Rahane). When one of them craps, you can restart your rant for mukund. His other problem could be 'Srikant Aniruddh' claims to be a batsmen. You thambis fight it out.

Looks like he is consistent. Pujara not scoring well either. OTOH, those who score well in IPL should not be selected for Tests or ODIs.

Srsly, are the Indian cricket fans this dumb to pay so much for such mediocrity?

pujara looks like he is not fit for this version of the game. he must play tests. he will excel there.

btw, kaif beat my expectations by scoring 14 in yesterday's match. that's 7% more than his average (of 13).
