what this means is that if there would have been a grand SP-BSP-Cong alliance (along the lines of the Bihar alliance of Lalu, Nitish and Congress), the BJP would have lost.

What does he mean by "headed for"? Dark days are already here. Weren't the sufferings endured during demonetization dark days?
