So, when are you making Amaravati your second home? CBN has been asking influential people to do just that and promising healthy life and longevity.
Amaravati/Guntur is located in an area that is called Velanadu in ancient times. Satavahanas made Amaravati their capital because Brahmanas of the region were famous for being nityaagnihotris and they helped the kings perform several yaagas including Aswamedha. During Krishnadevaraya's time, he imported 3000 Velanadu families and gave them leadership roles in his capital region. Many Nayakas in Vijayanagara empire come from Velanadu region. They, in turn, ruled different regions in SI.
Coming to modern Amaravati, for reasons only Modi knows, he is interfering with CBN's plans. Andhra people are very unhappy and upset with Modi. Knowing CBN's record, I anticipate him completing the Amaravati project.

As for building the new capital / city as per the aesthetics and size etc. in the above article, the money indicated there (a few billion dollars in the article) appears to be inadequate. Modi probably realizes that it's not for him to build and pay for the capitals / cities if people in any state decide to split creating more states needing new capitals, but people themselves (including the C.M.s) in those states to create their new cities / capitals in whatever way they wish (ordinary or par excellence).Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:So, when are you making Amaravati your second home? btw, notwithstanding the 217 sq km capital city under plans, the capital's functions (as Andhra Pradesh capital) seem already in order according to above article: "Till date, Amaravati has only got its interim secretariat building — which houses the temporary assembly, in a 49-acre area, with major arterial roads being constructed all around."
