The urgent need for UCC (uniform civil code: one law for everyone in the country, irrespective of religion, race, caste and gender)
The Govt. might tomorrow drop the tag of secularism for India and substitute instead 'Hindu Rashtra', but nothing will change in terms of improving the situation socially, politically and administratively as long as there are officially the separate religious laws in use for different communities.
The use of secularism for India is totally irrelevant and unnecessary and it is not the cause of that country's woes, while the separate laws for different religious communities are.
The countries like U.S.A. and Germany etc (in spite of their not using 'secular', or even 'christian nation', for them) don't have problems like India does (in spite of India using 'secular' for itself), which basically is due to their (U.S.A. etc.) using one law for all (no matter what the religion, race, class / caste and gender), unlike India having several laws (based on religion).

Re: The urgent need for UCC (uniform civil code: one law for everyone in the country, irrespective of religion, race, caste and gender)
Considering the current 'secular' name-only tag for India, without UCC, is merely a misnomer and a smokescreen which hides the deficiencies of religious laws while people tend to blame secularism for nation's problems due to religious laws, the real solution to set things right is by implementing UCC (uniform civil code: one law for all, irrespective of religion, race, caste / class and gender) to replace the use of religious laws for different communities.
Furthermore, it is absurd to think that the use of 'Hindu Rashtra' in stead of secular for India will solve the nation's problems which are the result of lack of UCC (one law for all) while there are separate religious laws in use officially for different communities.
Furthermore, if Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians and others can live happily and prosper together in the pluralistic and multicultural U.S.A. under same law or UCC (one law for all, irrespective of religion, race, class and gender), they must also be able to do the same in India too (live according UCC or one law for all, irrespective of religion, race, caste and gender).

Re: The urgent need for UCC (uniform civil code: one law for everyone in the country, irrespective of religion, race, caste and gender)
India urgently needs a uniform civil code or UCC: one law for all to dispense equal justice to everyone under the law, irrespective of religion, race, caste and gender.
India does not need 'Hindu Rashtra' in its name, nor should it continue with the current system of multiple religious laws separately for different communities (such as Hindu law for Hindus, Muslim law for Muslims, Sikh law for Sikhs, Christian law for Christians and Parsi law for Parsis) while calling itself officially a secular nation.
