Antidepressant medications may not be working as well as most physicians and patients have been led to believe..
Studies suggest that the popular drugs are no more effective than a placebo.

I am blaming the quick-buck Pharma corporations, and the Peesichiatrists who simply follow the reps marketing phrases.
Those bolded phrases are typical technicalese. No technical article in any field ever says/concludes with 100% certainly. These bolded phrases are "conclusions" enough for FDA.

Re: On anti-depressents
the so called modern anti depressants work differently for each person thats why there are so many of them on the market
.some of them are blamed for the patient committing subsequent suicide you might ask how is that possible if they elevate ur mood ? well it has happened
I would rather tell my self ( nay coax myself )to get the hell out of my isolation ,my depression... practice meditation techniques that get on these medications
the older drugs were superior but with many more side effects
the old techique of giving electro convulsive therapy ( ECT ) works but the common man baulks at it .Under general anesthesia it is least harmful and most effective for sustained depression
