He wrote seminal work called 'the dravidian languages '. He was leading osmania univ language divison( linguistics division i think). He also wrote several essays on tikkana who partially wrote mahabharata in telugu.

He founded Linguistics division of OU. He was also VC of Central University.

Some of his institutes students were good friends of mine. They speak highly of his contributions. He was an example of few rare individuals who are still able to create scientific institutions in the jaded indian higher education area.

That is a big loss. He has done a lot of great work, and he presents his arguments well.
