almost the same spot where i took the second pic from someone else's camera!

no time. limited ourselves to the north cascades. wish i had time to go to crater lake.

i wasn't really going for that, but glad you see it that way. one tree had its branches curled around its neighbor, a douglas fir, at the very top, and i thought it interesting.

This kind of vegetation starts a couple of hours north of me on the I-5 as you enter northern No calif and gets better further up. Unforunately, our few forays into the pac northwest have been quick flights into Seattle or Portand. Need to make a road trip one of these days.

this is much further up north off I-5. yes the pacific northwest is very beautiful. i occasionally regret giving up the opportunity to live there when i was less committed to the east coast.
