Brahmins the backbone of the Nation

It is true that the brahmins of India have traditionally been the backbone of the nation. Almost all the traditional intellectual, artistic and assorted cultural pursuits of India have been judiciously cultivated, taught, and recorded by the brahmins. In earlier times, it was only the brahmin who had the guts to go and scold the king of his region in public if he found that that the king was doing something wrong. India is recognized as a civilization with a great and ancient history largely because of brahmins.

it is interesting to note that brahmins have continued to play their traditional roles of being the real power behind the throne. The newly appointed principal secretary of PM Narendra Modi is a UP brahmin called Nripendra Misra. He is a brahmin. Similarly, the top advisor of dalit queen Mayawati is another UP brahmin (Satish Chandra Mishra). The top advisor of Naveen Patnaik used to be an Oriya brahmin called Pyari Mohan Mohapatra. I am sure other examples will come up after due investigation into this issue of brahmins being the real power behind the throne.
