A poem on sankranti (from the net)

సంకురాతిరి పండగిదిగో
సందడించీ వచ్చెనండీ
సంతసాలను సంబరాలను
తెచ్చె చూడండీ

నింగి కెగసే భోగిమంటల
ముంగిలిని గొబ్బెమ్మ ముగ్గుల
పొంగిపొరలే పాడిపంటల
వెలుగు చూడండీ

ముగ్గువేసే ముదితచేతుల
గంగిరెద్దుల గంగడోలున
దారిలో హరిదాసుపాటల
ఊరిలో తిరనాళ్ళ ఆటల
వెల్లివిరిసే తెలుగుదనమూ
సౌరు చూడండి
